NBA TV ready for a wild season

Albert "Scooter" Vertino is also the vice president of content for NBA Digital. In this role, he is responsible for the NBA Digital portfolio -- which includes NBA TV, NBA.com, NBA League Pass, WNBA.com and NBADLeague.com.

That is a great deal responsibility, but it is really more fun to call Scooter the mastermind behind NBA TV.

Vertino on the 2010-11 NBA season »  Just after the Lakers won the title, we started getting ready for the NBA draft. Then after the draft, we started the free agent process, and that took on a life of its own with LeBron James, Chris Bosh and Dwayne Wade going to Miami, but not after a great deal of drama. Then came the World Championship, which was fun. But now after all the talk we can finally get down to the games.

Vertino on the teams to watch in 2010-2011 » OK, we know that Miami will be on everyone's radar. But truth be told: Orlando might be best team in Florida. We know that Boston is not going to shy away from any challenge in the East. And how can you possibly overlook an improved Chicago team that will be a force. Out West, the Lakers might have not only gotten better, they are as deep as they have been in years. I think Dallas is improved, San Antonio is still worthy of consideration and don't sleep on either Oklahoma City or New Orleans. They are both talented teams.

Vertino on NBA TV 2010-2011 » "GameTime" is our network's live studio show with plenty of live look-ins at games being played across the league, airing six nights a week. The show is paced by our team of Rick Kamla, Matt Winer, Marc Fein, Steve Smith, Dennis Scott and Brent Barry. They do a great job of keeping on top of all games being played around the league. Friday nights might be our best night because of all the games we have to follow. We have action from 8 p.m. to around 1 a.m. "The Beat" airs on Tuesday nights with host Marc Fein and local favorite David Aldridge and we give fans all the key inside information on what is happening league-wide. Tuesday, "Fan Night" with Ernie Johnson, Chris Webber and Kevin McHale host the only weekly NBA game aired nationally that is picked by the fans at NBA.com. That is the definition of interaction.

The NBA.com website is key to our international connenction and we really enjoy our relationship with our European partners. Our programming is geared to our worldwide fan base that is growing every day. There are so many talented stars from all over the globe on our teams we truely are a world league.
